We are seeking a proactive, organised, and compassionate Domiciliary Care Coordinator to join our growing team. You will play a central role in ensuring the seamless delivery of care services by effectively managing schedules, supporting care staff, and maintaining high standards of service user care.
Key Responsibilities
- Rota Management: Create, maintain, and adjust weekly staff rotas ensuring continuity and consistency of care
- Staff Allocation: Assign carers to service users based on compatibility, needs, and availability
- Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for care staff and clients regarding daily operations and service delivery
- Onboarding Support: Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new care workers
- Quality Monitoring: Conduct regular service user reviews, spot checks, and supervisions to ensure care plans are followed
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records in line with CQC standards and company policies
- Crisis Management: Respond to last-minute changes or emergencies with efficiency and professionalism
- Client Satisfaction: Address service user queries, concerns, and feedback promptly, ensuring the highest level of customer service
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Registered Manager and other departments to ensure smooth service operations
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in domiciliary/home care coordination (minimum 1 year)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Proficient in using care management software (e.g., CarePlanner, Birdie, Access PeoplePlanner)
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and care industry best practices
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Experience working with a diverse client base including elderly, disabled, or vulnerable adults
